| Overview: |
TIRF Technologies supplies TIRF flow systems as factory aligned accessories, assembled on a sample compartment of the fluorometer of your choice. Our TIRF systems have been successfully used with SPEX Fluorolog and Fluoromax, ISS K2, SLM AB-2, 4800 and 8100, Shimadzu, Hitachi, Varian Eclipse and PTI as well as home-built fluorometers. TIRF is an exceptionally sensitive and informative technique. No other technique exists that can monitor fluorescence lifetime, polarization, anisotropy decay, quenching, resonance energy transfer (FRET), recovery after photobleaching (FRAP), and correlation spectroscopy (FCS) for analysis of biomolecular interactions in real-time and with sensitivity at the level of single molecule detection. TIRF accessory TA1004 can be interfaced with our computer-controlled fluidic system TF1005 that transforms your fluorometer to a computer-controlled TIRF biosensor system. Electrochemical and temperature control are available as options. Chemically clean TIRF slides and chemically modified slides with reactive amine, aldehyde, epoxy groups, biotinylited and streptavidin coated TIRF slides and reagent kits for surface immobilization of biomolecules are available as consumables.
